Three-month old fighting for life after she was 'neglected and abused' by her father

A three-month-old baby is fighting for her life after suffering serious abuse and neglect 'to the brink of death'.

Addilyn Tidwell sustained several broken bones and damage to her brain and other internal organs, allegedly at the hands of her 30-year-old father.

Michael Fisher, of Lawrenceburg Tennessee, has been arrested and charged with attempted first-degree murder after he and Addilyn's mother Brooklyn Tidwell, 27, sought medical help for the baby last month.

Addilyn's parents Brooklyn Tidwell and Michael Fisher have been arrested over the abuse of the three-month-old baby

Tidwell has also been arrested and charged with aggravated child neglect, according to WVLT.tv.

She had previously had two children removed from her care before Addilyn was born, the website wrote.

Addilyn remains in a medically induced coma at the Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville.

Family members have set up a GoFundMe page to support Addilyn's great aunt, Terra Woodard,  as she fights for emergency custody of the baby.

CBS affiliate WTVF reported that while Addilyn remains in critical condition, her health is improving.

Bail for Fisher has been set at $500,000, while Tidwell's is $50,000.
